Karishma Rout, a female born on May 13th, 1993, resides in Tulsi Nagar, Balangir, Odisha, India, with her parents, Suresh Rout and Tilotama Rout, along with her younger brother, Abinash Rout. She completed her academic education at Rajendra University, Balangir, and is currently pursuing a BPEd degree at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. Karishma is associated with the Balangir District Fencing Association as her home club/academy.
Achievements:
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS AS FENCER – Represented Odisha in Senior National Championship 2018 in Solapur, Maharashtra, and finished among the top 16 in individual epee. – Represented Odisha in Senior National Championship 2019, Guwahati, Assam. – Represented Odisha in Senior National Championship 2020, New Delhi. MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS AS COACH – Felicitated as one of the best coaches at the 22nd Sub-Junior National Fencing Championship at JN Indoor Stadium, Cuttack, on March 26, 2021. – Coach of the Odisha squad that won one gold and one silver medal in the 31st Senior National Fencing Championship in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, on March 21, 2021. – Represented Odisha in Senior National Fencing Championship at Bangalore, 2018. – Represented Rajendra University, Balangir, in the All-India Inter-University Fencing Championships twice (2018 Patiala, 2020 Amritsar). – Groomed fencers: Trushnamayee Singh Deo reached Junior National top 16, Ajit Prasad Junior National top 32, and Saudamini Kandi All-India Inter-University top 16. – Started coaching career in 2017.
