Description: Syed Nayeemuddin, born in 1944 and commonly known as Nayeem, is an Indian football coach and former player. He not only played for but also captained the India national team. In his coaching career, he has managed teams like Mahindra United, Brothers Union, Dhaka Mohammedan, and even the Bangladesh national team. Nayeemuddin holds the distinction of being the only sportsperson to receive both the Arjuna Award, bestowed upon him by the Government of India in 1997, and the Dronacharya Award.
