Description: Karnam Malleswari is a retired Indian weightlifter and the first Indian woman to win an Olympic medal in weightlifting. She won a bronze medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in the 69 kg category. Malleswari has since been involved in coaching and mentoring young weightlifters in India, aiming to nurture the next generation of champions.
