Pullela Gopichand

Badminton

Pullela Gopichand, a former Indian badminton player, currently serves as the Chief National Coach for the India national badminton team. He notably won the All England Open Badminton Championships in 2001, becoming the second Indian to do so after Prakash Padukone. Gopichand runs the Gopichand Badminton Academy and has received prestigious awards such as the Arjuna Award in 1999, the Dronacharya Award in 2009, and the Padma Bhushan in 2014 for his contributions to the sport.
