Full Description: The Poinsur Gymkhana is a unique project where an area measuring more than 40,000sq meters of space has been adopted from the Mumbai Municipal Corporation. It encompasses a sports club, jogging track, gymnasium , various outdoor and indoor games and other recreational activities for children and elders of all ages, with the middle class in mind. Much of young children’s learning comes from participating in sports and games, and this same participation as adults can lead to happier, healthier and more productive lives. India, a country consisting of more than 65% of population below the age of 35 can capitalize on these factors to achieve optimum benefits from sports and games. We should realize the importance of sports as a source of physical wellbeing, and also as an element that can help combat social and cultural imbalances existing within our country.
