Narendra Rana hails from Sorkhi village in Hisar district of Haryana. As a child, his talent and passion for boxing were soon discovered by veteran coach Devraj Sihag under whose tutelage he took his first babysteps in the sport. His perseverance and his hunger to improve made him pick up the skills quickly and soon he started shining in various international competitions from a young age.
