Description: Amit Panghal was born on 16 October 1995 in Mayna village of Rohtak, Haryana. His father, Vijender Singh Panghal, is a farmer in Mayna, while his elder brother, Ajay Panghal, who works in the Indian Army. Ajay, a former amateur boxer, inspired Amit to take up boxing in 2007 at Sir Chhoturam Boxing Academy. As of March 2018, Panghal is serving the Indian Army as a junior commissioned officer (JCO).
