Description: Kazuyasu Minobe born on July 15, 1987, is a Japanese épée fencer who favors his left hand. He boasts a remarkable resume, including being a two-time Olympian and a 2016 team Asian champion. Notably, Minobe was a vital member of the Japanese team, alongside Koki Kano, Masaru Yamada, and Satoru Uyama, that secured a historic gold medal in the team men's épée event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. This victory marked Japan's inaugural Olympic gold medal in fencing.
About: Minobe initially pursued volleyball as his primary sport. However, upon his father's recommendation, he transitioned to fencing during his high school years. Making his international debut in 2008, Minobe swiftly ascended to join the Japanese national team. Noteworthy achievements include securing a bronze medal at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou and claiming a silver medal at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon.
