Akashdeep Singh

Full Description: Akashdeep Singh, born on 12 March 2008, is an Indian field hockey player renowned for his role as a forward both in the India hockey team and for the Uttar Pradesh Wizards in the Hockey India League. Hailing from Verowal, Tarn Taran, Punjab, Singh's journey in hockey began during his secondary school days, where he initially showcased his talent before progressing to join the Guru Angad Dev Sports Club. Later, in 2006, he became a part of the PAU Hockey Academy in Ludhiana before transitioning to the esteemed Surjit Hockey Academy in Jalandhar. In 2013, Singh's exceptional skills led him to be auctioned to the Delhi Waveriders team in the Hockey India League. Following three successful seasons with Delhi, he was later signed by the Uttar Pradesh Wizards for an impressive sum of $84,000. Additionally, as of Winter 2023, Singh was pursuing his education at the University of Alberta in Canada, where he was majoring in Biological and Political Sciences.
