Suraj Karkera

Full Description: Suraj Karkera, born on October 14, 1995, in Bombay (now Mumbai), is an Indian field hockey goalkeeper. He attended Children's Academy in Malad for his schooling and, as of 2017, is pursuing a degree in commerce from Rizvi College. Karkera made his debut for the Indian junior team in 2015 and has since been a consistent member on various tours. His senior team debut followed the next year, during which he contributed to India's gold-medal victory at the 2017 Asia Cup. Notably, he was awarded the Goalkeeper of the Tournament at the 2021 Asian Champions Trophy, where his team secured the bronze medal.
