Full Description: Pooja Surve is an accomplished Indian rhythmic gymnast, representing her country on the international stage. Her career highlights include participation in prestigious events such as the 2009 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Japan and the 2010 Commonwealth Games, where she ranked among the top 16 gymnasts. Notably, she was honored with the Miss Exotic Performance award at the 2010 World Cup in Belarus, making history as the first Indian to receive this accolade. Throughout her career, Surve has amassed over 150 medals, solidifying her status as one of India's most decorated gymnasts. Her achievements extend beyond the competition floor, as she has been recognized with esteemed awards such as the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Awardee from the Government of Maharashtra in 2010 and the Indian Sports Award from the Government of India in 2019. She has also earned accolades in the form of the Hindustan Times – Thane Ratna Award in 2019. In addition to her gymnastics prowess, Surve is a trained classical Kathak and Ballet dancer. She has showcased her talent on various reality shows aired on Zee Marathi, Colors, and Zee TV channels. Transitioning from athlete to mentor, Surve now serves as a gymnastics coach and holds the position of Director at The Phoenix Gymnastics Academy in Thane. Her expertise extends globally, as she also serves as a Federation International Gymnastics international judge for rhythmic gymnastics individual and group categories, lending her expertise to numerous international competitions.
