Full Description: Ravi Kumar Katulu, also known as Katulu Ravi Kumar, born on April 24, 1988, is an Indian weightlifter originating from Odisha. He achieved a remarkable feat at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, securing a gold medal in the Men's 69 kg (152 lb) weightlifting category. Hailing from Berhampur in Odisha, K. Ravi Kumar initiated his weightlifting journey at the Veer Hanuman Club in the city. Initially a bodybuilder for seven years, he transitioned to weightlifting under the guidance of his trainer, Narayan Sahu. Despite his relatively short training period, just three years before the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Ravi Kumar emerged as an exceptional performer and clinched victory with a record total lift of 321 kg (708 lb).
