Sanamacha Chanu

Sanamacha Thingbaijam Chanu, born on February 1, 1975, represented India in weightlifting at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the women's 53 kg weight class. She secured three gold medals at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. She was also a member of the core team for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. However, during the trials for the event, she tested positive for methylhexanamine, a stimulant commonly used as a nasal decongestant.
