About: At the age of nine, Jiří Beran embarked on his fencing journey at the SC Praha club in the Czech Republic, marking the inception of his lifelong passion for the sport. Interestingly, he was the inaugural member of SC Praha, a club founded by his father, which holds special significance for him. Introduced to fencing by his father, Beran found allure in the discipline, style, and elegance inherent in the sport. While his father never imposed fencing upon him, Beran's growing affinity for the sport led him to embrace it wholeheartedly, continuing his family's tradition with enthusiasm. Representing SC Praha, Beran has honed his skills as a right-handed épée fencer, embodying the values of dedication and perseverance synonymous with the sport.
