About: Limardo embarked on his fencing journey at the age of seven, inspired by an uncle who had encountered the sport in Hungary. Initially, he pursued foil fencing with his right hand, but an injury compelled him to switch both his dominant hand and weapon. Following his triumph at the London Olympic Games, Limardo was honored with the Venezuelan Order of the Liberator. Moreover, President Hugo Chávez bestowed upon him a gold replica of Simon Bolivar's sword adorned with precious stones. Limardo's brother, Jesús Limardo, is also actively involved in fencing competitions. Having been associated with the Piast Gliwice fencing club, he currently resides in Łódź, Poland.
