Description: Born on July 22, 1991, Tristan Tulen is a Dutch épée fencer known for his left-handed style. He secured the silver medal in the men's épée category at the 2022 European Fencing Championships hosted in Antalya, Turkey. Additionally, he clinched the gold medal in his event during the 2023 European Games held in Poland.
About: He embarked on his fencing journey at the age of nine with the SV De Troubadours club in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, driven by the excitement the sport offered. Encouraged by his own passion, he inspired his siblings and father to join fencing. Initially starting with foil, he transitioned to épée as a junior under the guidance of coach Roel Verweenen. Representing the Netherlands, he currently fences for Scaramouche Arnhem, honing his skills as a left-handed fencer, with coaching support from Rorik Janssen on the national level and his brother Rafael Tulen.
