Jeremy Lalrinnunga

Full Description: Jeremy Lalrinnunga, hailing from Aizawl, Mizoram, is an Indian weightlifter who represented India at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires. He made history by clinching the gold medal in the Boys' 62 kg weightlifting category with an impressive lift of 274 kg (124 kg in snatch and 150 kg in clean and jerk), marking India's first-ever gold medal in the Youth Olympic Games. Additionally, Lalrinnunga secured a silver medal in the Asian Weightlifting Championship. In the 2019 World Weightlifting Championships, he competed in the Men's 67 kg event, finishing in 21st place. Continuing his success, Lalrinnunga achieved gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the 67 kg category, setting a game record with lifts of 140 kg in snatch and 160 kg in clean and jerk.
